Police operatives in Lagos have arrested two suspected thieves over allegedly stealing of a truck containing a car belonging to the United States of America (USA) Embassy.
It was gathered that the suspects were arrested while negotiating to sell the whole truck and its content for N5million.
As reliably learnt, the truck was driven away by the suspects from where it was parked.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects identified as Toheeb Jimoh, 26, Habeeb Ishola,35 were apprehended following intelligence and diligent Investigation.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists on Tuesday.
He said truck is presently parked at the Lagos State Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
” Got report that a truck conveying a brand new Nissan Rogue belonging to the US Embassy was driven away from where it was parked
” We deployed our intelligence assets and after diligent investigation, the truck was recovered and two suspects were arrested.
” They were arrested while negotiating to sell the whole truck and its content for N5million.
” The truck is presently at the State Headquarters, Ikeja”, Hundeyin stated.
