Police arrest 6 suspected kidnappers, rescues District Head

The Bauchi State Police Command has said that it arrested six suspected kidnappers in connection to the kidnap of the District Head of Tama village in the state, Alhaji Adamu Yakubu.
Police Public Relation Officer of the state command, ASP Mahmoud Mohammed told Newsmen in Bauchi on Monday that the gunmen suspected to be a kidnapping syndicate stormed Tama village.
He explained that the suspected kidnappers stormed Tama village of Gumau District in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State where they abducted the District Head, Alhaji Adamu Yakubu and two others.
ASP Mohammed said that discreet investigations by Police detectives comprising of Anti-kidnapping unit and Special Anti-robbery Squad led to the arrest of six suspects and successful rescue of kidnapped victims who are in stable condition.
The police spokesman gave names of the suspected kidnappers as Mohammed Bello, Ado Sanda, Abdul Mohammedd, Ibrahim Jime, Ahmadu Sule, and Dauda Umaru, all of Jange village.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects include, five Bajaj motorcycles and six handsets which include the one used in negotiating ransom.
He also disclosed that the command’s Anti-kidnapping unit arrested other four suspects terrorizing Nabordo, Gumau and Toro Axis of the local government area,  saying  that all the cases are  under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court.
