Police Arrest 10 Over Theft Of N15M Property

Ten suspects have been held by police in Lagos over alleged armed robbery and stealing of property worth N10 million, the State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi has said.
He stated that the dare devil armed robbers invaded plot D50, Riyal Garden Estate. Ajah on the 3rd of July,2018,  held the occupants of a storey building hostage and dispossessed them of the said property at gun point.
The police commissioner, who identified the suspects as Abraham Emmanuel a.k.a Turkey ‘M’ 47 years. Joseph Paul Aji ‘M’ 30 years.
Nattaaniel Emmanuel a.k.a Nath 22years.Samuel Gabriel ‘M’ 20years
Ekpemandu Kingsley ‘M’ 22years
Adamu Salisu ‘M’ 24years
Abdulazeez Garba 36 years
Mahmud Usman 36 years.Paul Aji and Ekpemandu Kingsley, informed that they were apprehended by police operatives attached to Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) of the  command.
Following information about the activities of the robbers, Edgal said the operatives swiftly raised to the scene, which forced the bandits to fled.
Luck, according to him,  however ran against two of them named Paul Aji and Ekpemadu, as they were arrested at the scene.
In the course of interrogation, he said the suspects led detectives to their hideout where others members of the gang were apprehended.
Edgal disclosed that all the stolen items, including their operational motorcycle, a Sinoki Supra motorcycle, Reg. No. KJA 342 QH were recovered at the scene.
He added that other exhibits which include one cut to size locally made single barrel gun, one live cartridge;
One  plier, Army camouflage T-shirt and cap, a pair of Military boot;
Assorted charms were also recovered from them.
His words, ” On receipt of the information Operatives of the FSARS and that of the command mobilized quickly to the scene. On sighting the operatives, the robbers took to their heels but luck ran against Joseph Paul Aji ‘M’ and Ekpemandu Kingsley ‘M’ as they were arrested at the scene.
All the stolen items including their operational motorcycle, a Sinoki Supra motorcycle, Reg. No. KJA 342 QH were recovered at the scene.
During interrogation, they confessed to the crime and led operatives to  their hideout where other members of the gang  were arrested. Their names are:
Abraham Emmanuel a.k.a Turkey ‘M’ 47 years.
Joseph Paul Aji ‘M’ 30 years.
Nattaaniel Emmanuel a.k.a Nath 22years.
Samuel Gabriel ‘M’ 20years
Ekpemandu Kingsley ‘M’ 22years
Adamu Salisu ‘M’ 24years
Abdulazeez Garba 36 years
Mahmud Usman 36 years.
Exhibits recovered from them include;
One cut to size locally made single barrel gun;
One live cartridge;
One  plier, Army camouflage T-shirt and cap;  A pair of Military boot;
Assorted charms; and
Sinoki Supra Motocycle, Reg.No KJA-342-QA”.
Edgal said all the suspects will be charged to court at the end of the investigation.
