PMAN, NUJ partners on job creation

As part of effort to rejuvenate Kaduna music industry and create employment for youths in Kaduna state, Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), on Tuesday sought for Collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna Council.
‎Chairperson PMAN, Kaduna branch, Mrs. Anna Kankara-Mohammed, during a courtesy call to NUJ, expressed confidence that the Kaduna NUJ will not hesitate to help the association in publicising its activities from time to time.
According to her, “I want to assure you that with the cooperation of your great union, we will articulate positive values and responsibility in our quest to contribute to national development.
“Already, we are working with various stakeholders in the country to do the needful in nation’s music industry by engaging more and more of our teeming unemployed youths in the business of dissemination of the knowledge of and musicology throughout Kaduna State.
“In pursuing this goal, we must not shy away from the fact that the country is at crossroads in search of new direction and impetus to establish a framework which if well articulated with your assistance as the mirror of the society, will go a long way in engendering a new way forward for benefit of all and for greater good of Nigeria.”
Anna thanked the NUJ for granting her team an audience and expressed hope that the doors will always remain open whenever they call.
‎NUJ Chairman, Garba Mohammad in welcome address, assured the visitors of the Union’s support in developing the state and country in general.
He noted that reporting PMAN’s activities is part of the media’s responsibility, adding that ‎the union is ready at all times to collaborate with any organisation that is working towards the development of the country and it’s citizens.
