Kaduna State Executive Council, led by Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai on Monday, has approved the recruitment of over 3,000 health personnel in the state.
The recruitment is to fill the manpower requirement of the 255 Primary Healthcare Centres being upgraded and refitted.
Kaduna State Government adopted a holistic approach to revamping the lowest level of healthcare, the primary health system to provide access to quality health service to people at the bottom of the societal ladder.
This saw to the renovation, expansion, upgrade and provision of modern equipment in 255 PHCs, one in each of the 255 political wards in Kaduna State.
Now that the upgrade and refitting is near completion, the State Government is bringing in qualified health personnel that would work in these public hospitals.
The state Primary Healthcare Agency has therefore been saddle with the responsibility of recruiting over 3000 health workers.
This will complement the more than 1200 that have been recruited and posted to different public health facilities across the state.
