PDP Zoning: North gets more positions as committee submits report

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 88-man Zoning Committee  into elective offices of the National Executives of the party has concluded its job and handed over the report to the Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee on Tuesday, with the North getting more positions that the South.
The committee handed over 11 positions to the North, with the South getting one position less than that, with 10 slots.
According to the report jointly signed by its Chairman and Co-Chairman, Chief David Umahi Nweze and Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo, as well as its secretary, Hon. Gabriel Suswan, which New Nigerian got a copy of, the chairmanship of the party has been zoned to the South.
The positions zoned to Northern Zones are Deputy National Chairman II, National Secretary, National Financial Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, National Auditor, National Woman Leader, Deputy National Treasurer and Deputy National Organizing Secretary.
Other positions given to the North are Deputy National Youth Leader, Deputy National Legal Adviser and Deputy National Secretary.
The South would be holding the positions of the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairman I, National Treasurer, National Legal Adviser, National Youth Leader, National Organizing Secretary and Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
The position of the Deputy National Woman Leader, Deputy National Auditor and Deputy National Financial Secretary would be comppeted for by candidates from the south.
The Committee concluded its meeting and adopted this Report and the minutes Tuesday July 26, 2016.
