A Pastor, Timothy Abiola is now in police net for allegedly killing a fellow Pastor and a friend identified as Pastor Bamiji Ilori with Dane Gun in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.
According to the Osun State Police Commissioner Mr Fimihan Adeoye, Pastor Timothy allegedly shot dead the 64yr old Pastor Ilori at Olukunle village in Ikire.
The Police Commissioner while speaking through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Folasade Odoro stated that the murder of the 64-year-old pastor was reported to the police by his uncle, Adedeji Ajao.
CP Adeoye added that upon the report, detectives from the Osun State Police Command were deployed to the scene immediately with the remains of late Ilori found with a gunshot injury on his head.
He maintained that the suspect was then arrested and that he reportedly confessed that he killed his Pastor friend, adding that the body of the slain pastor had been deposited at the Catholic Hospital mortuary, Oluyoro in Apomu town, for autopsy.
The CP pointed out that one dane gun reportedly used to shoot the 64 year old Pastor has been recovered by the police while investigation is on going on the incident.
