As the 2023 general elections draw closer, a House of Representatives aspirant for Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable  Esther Abba, has called tasked delegates and party executives on the need to be careful who they cast their votes for in the upcoming 2023 primary elections at all levels of political participation.

She enjoined the delegates to do the needful by voting their fellow politicians instead of outsiders or ‘accidental politicians’ who have no value for humanity.

She explained, “Voting fellow politicians is the way to go in the current dispensation because they will always keep their promises and nurture the party, knowing it’s problems and challenges of the people at the grassroots. Voting desperate politicians who come with money and material inducements, just to win office then abandon the voters after assumption of offices.”

The grassroots politician listed the items involved in votes buying on election years to include money, motorcycles, cars and fake promises which most times, do not see the light of the day after winning election.

Mrs Esther Abba encouraged Nigerians not to hesitate to collect any money given them, but to vote their conscience, in order to secure their tomorrow and those they are representing in order to have good leadership at all levels of governance in the country.

While drawing their attention to knowing that they would give account of their stewardship to God as elected delegates, the House of Representatives aspirant admonished them to use their brains in asking why such sudden kindness always comes on electioneering years and specifically to delegates instead of other people in the society.

She appealed to them to be careful and not allow themselves to be deceived in electing the wrong people into positions of government that would spell dumb for the future of the country.

“You should shine your eyes because such people will never pick their calls or deliver democracy dividends after their aim is achieved, as they will concentrate on  primitive accumulation of wealth ahead of future elections and in recouping the monies spent in purchasing their mandates from party executives and delegates,” she warned.
