OYSG to go ahead with proposed PPP of secondary schools policy – Gov Ajimobi

Governor Abiola Ajimobi has declared that the state government will go ahead with its proposed new education policy of public-private participation in the management of secondary schools in the state.
The governor who said this while receiving the report of the 31 member committee on the policy at the State Secretariat in Ibadan, stressed that the state government was determined to go ahead with the new education policy to revive education sector in Oyo State, which according to him was in a deteriorating state.
Governor Ajimobi added that the committee’s report is to be adopted as the foundation of the implementation of the policy with restructuring of the state Ministry of education as paramount, as well as all other Ministries in the state to improve on their efficiency.
Chairman of the committee, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin while submitting the report said the committee recommended that the state government should go ahead with the implementation of the education policy.
He declared that the committee during its sittings visited twenty nine secondary schools across the eight education zones in the state, and that the committee also recommended the restructuring of the Ministry of Education, as well as other units and organs of the state education sector.
