A 28-year old man, identified as Olaide Hassan was on Thursday arrested by the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with 66 kegs of 25 litres of Petroleum products (Pms)
Briefing journalists at the command’s headquarters in Ibadan, the state NSCDC Commandant, CC Michael Akintayo said the suspect was arrested early ” Thursday 23rd September 2021 around 0125hrs along Ogboro to Saki road”
He stressed that the suspect rammed into the Oyo State Command of NSCDC Anti-Vandal and Commandant monitoring team while allegedly diverting the kegs of PMS to the Republic of Benin.
Commandant Adaralewa stressed that Olaide Hassan allegedly loaded the 66kegs of 25litres PMS in a black Golf car with registration number AGL 17 AY Lagos
The Oyo state NSCDC Commandant stressed that the suspect will be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation by the Intelligence and Investigative Department of the command.
Commandant Adaralewa while warning criminals to stay away from Oyo state or look for a legal work to do as the NSCDC command will leave no stone unturned in dealing with the bad eggs bent at sabotaging the economy of the country as ” a new Sheriff in town”,
Promising adequate 24hrs patrol now and during the ending of the year throughout Oyo state, Commandant Adaralewa enjoined the people of the state ” to work closely with the NSCDC and other security agencies in the state in other to serve them better for the economy growth of the State and c.ountry at large.
