Oyo AAC Guber Candidate Offers Free Medical Services To 2,000 In Oyo

African Action Congress (AAC), gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Mr. Mojeed Okedara on  Saturday, flagged-off his free health programme tagged, “Olugbeja Mekunu Free Health Care Scheme”  at the Atiba Hall, Akesan Market, Oyo Town.

Speaking at the flag off, the AAC governorship candidate disclosed that the provision of effective healthcare will enable the Oyo people to participate in national development.

Mr. Okedara pointed out that, “it is part of his plan to give opportunity to children, youth and the elderly irrespective of their political affiliation to know their health status.    

He advised the participants to often seek medical attention at approved health facilities and not to engage in self-medication, saying the scheme will be moved round to the other part of the state for more people to benefit.

Speaking on the essence of the event, he said the medical outreach was aimed at giving adequate healthcare services to his people explaining that he wanted to ensure a healthy electorate and reduce the high incidence of sudden deaths among residents due to unattended health challenges.

“We have paid this medical team to offer free treatments which includes eye care, general outpatient, dental care; emergency medical services and health education while some drugs will also be available to dispense minimally when it is necessary”, he said.

Over 20 medical personnel, which includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, pharmacy technicians and logistics workers were there attending to almost 2000 people that thronged into Atiba Hall, Akesan Market, Oyo Town.
