Owa Obokun Of Ijesaland, Oba Aromolaran Joins Ancestors, After Over 40yrs On Throne

The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran has joined his ancestors.

Oba Aromolaran who reigned as Owa Obokun of Ijesaland for over 40 years according to sources within the palace, passed on late Wednesday after a brief illness.

However, as at present, the Owa palace in Ilesa is yet to issue any official statement as regards the passage of Oba Aromolaran .

“Baba has passed, but we are waiting for officials announcement from the palace.You can see that they have started performing some traditional rites. This has to be done before any announcement can be made”, the source.

It was learnt that already, security has been beefed up in around the Owa’s palace in Ilesa with the presence of security personnel around the palace while some traditional rites typically performed following the demise of a king are being carried out in the town as at time of sending this report.

Late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, was born on October 13, 1937.
