Over 200 Widows, Orphans Receive Food Items, Others From Kaduna Group

A group, Great Women And Men Of Interest Organization with its headquarters in Kaduna has put smiles on faces of no fewer than 200 widows, orphans and the less privileged by donating assorted items.
The presentation of the items was held at the Medi Schools Ungwan Sunday in Kaduna on Monday April 18, 2022.
Speaking on the sidelines of the

presentation, President of Great Women And Men Of Interest Organization, Gloria Mari Tarfa Emmanuel said that giving out to the needy  makes her happy.

“I love to  give out to widows orphans and less privileged people in the society who need help,” she said.
According to her, the group has been rendering such  donations  for over two years.
According to her, the Monday ‘s presentation captures more than 200 widows, orphans and less privileged.
When asked if those that benefitted were cautioned against selling items presented to them, she said they were advised against such.
“The items we presented, we prayed over them. Any woman that takes it to her room, we prayed for more open doors,” she said.

Also speaking, Patron of the organization, Rev Peter Mari Tarfa said that giving out is a passion and a vision God showed to the president.
“God showed her that people are suffering,  which pushed her to start this,” he said.
He explained that in the society, widows, orphans and less privileged  are really suffering and deserve attention.
On how they raise funds to purchase items presented, he said that God is the one providing for them.
“individuals are bringing in little to support this, there is no government support.
“My call to wealthy individuals is that whatsoever God has given to you, is to touch lives of others, make them to smile,” he added.


Chief of Ungwan Sunday (West), Tanko Auta who was one of the dignitaries present,   said he was impressed by the gesture of the group. 
He called on others to emulate same 

A beneficiary, Deborah Thomas appreciated the gesture, saying God should bless the foundation.
Another beneficiary, Esther Williams who said that she said she lost her husband a month ago, explained that God has been helping them to survive since then.
She prayed for God to bless the foundation. 
Speaking further, she said the items donated will help the family.
Orphans that benefitted from the donation of items were from Faith Works Orphanage, High Cost Kaduna.
Beneficiaries selected from eight communities in Kaduna North, Chikun and Kaduna South and Igabi  local government areas.
Items presented included foodstuff, toiletries and noodles.
