The Governor-Elect of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Thursday raised alarm of an alleged ploy by the outgoing government in the state to mismanage the $610 million  special intervention fund of which Oyo State is a beneficiary.

Also, the governor elect in a statement on his behalf by Prince Dotun Oyelade, said he has uncovered  the alleged plan of the outgoing administration in Oyo state ” to concession the Agodi Gardens and some landed property at Trans Amusement Park to Government insider “

The governor in the statement frowned at the hasty “contracts being awarded at SUBEB”, which he said has “also caught the eyes of the public, likewise the many other last-minute hanky panky going on.”

According to the governor elect, the alleged plan to concession the Agodi Gardens and some landed property at Trans Amusement Park to Government insider “will not materialise as it does not follow due process.”

Engineer Makinde in the statement however warned those who think they can fleece the state government to have a second thought, saying the concerned contractors should not risk their licenses.

The governor elect then assured members of the pubic that “due diligence will be upheld in and relevant anti-corruption agencies have been duly informed.”
