The Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past governor of Osun Governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, Malam Ismail Omipidan on Tuesday, said that the former governor never employed 12,000 workers as claimed by the new administration in the state.
Malam Omipidan while speaking with the New Nigerian on phone, said the claim that Alhaji Oyetola employed 12,000 workers while about leaving office,  “is a lie”  and total falsehood.
Emphasizing that the said claims by the Governor Ademola Adeleke’s  new administration was not only false but unfounded, he challenged the new government in Osun State to come up with facts to back up its claim on the 12,000 workers.
“They are now in government, they should have access to every file and paper of government. Let them bring out the papers or anything to substantiate the claims. It is a lie, it is a false claim,” he stressed.
Omipidan added, “Once a lie is told, you need a thousand lies to cover it up. In no distant future, the people of Osun will know who the real liars are.”
The Chief Press Secretary then challenged the government to publish the list of the purported 12,000 workers.
“What is the entire workforce of the State?” He queried.
He stressed that when the claim was first raised by Governor Ademola Adeleke on the media last August, he cautioned them against raising unsubstantiated allegations to prevent misleading the people of the state at that time.
