The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, met with the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Mohammadu Sanusi ll recently.

After attending the wedding of his aide, Alhaji Hafiz Kawu, the vice-president deemed it fit to make it to the  Emir’s Palace.
The  meeting lasted for an hour at the Emir’s palace.
Earlier, the vice-president was  accompanied by the Governor and some top politicians to the venue of the wedding at the ancient city.
Osinbajo, in company of the Governor paid a courtesy visit on the Emir  and held a closed door meeting which may not be unconnected with the lingering feud between Governor Ganduje and his predecessor,Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso.
It would be recalled that, last week Kwankwaso was prevented by the police  from entering Kano in order to avoid a bloody clash between the two parties (including their supporters).
It is in the aforementioned respect that the vice-president is making an effort to reconcile the two parties.
