OPC To IGP: Order Probe Of Death Of Our Member Shot By F-SARS In Ibadan

The  Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC) New Era,  on Wednesday asked the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force to probe the alleged killing of an OPC member by a Policeman in Ibadan.
OPC New Era National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Adesina Akinpelu in a chat in Ibadan alleged that the OPC member  identified as Moruf died as a result of gunshots he sustained during an encounter with the policeman . 
It was learnt that the policeman identified as Segun attached to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS) last week Thursday allegedly shot Moruf twice at Imalefalafia junction, Oke Ado area of Ibadan. 
Moruf reported to be a leader of a private security outfit in the area was said to have died on Saturday as a result of the gunshots he received from the policeman
The policeman attached to F-SARS in Lagos state is said to be in the habit of shooting into air twice every night whenever he is in Ibadan, where his family resides.
Trouble started at about 11.30 pm on that Thursday when the OPC man reportedly confronted the policeman to question him on the incensant shooting into the air anytime he is in Ibadan a development said to be unpleasant to other residents in the area.
Our correspondent gathered that the policeman allegedly shot the OPC member twice in the process. The deceased later died on Saturday as a result of the gunshots he sustained on Thursday. 

Sources said the policeman had fled the area immediately and till this moment he has not return to his house.
