It is exactly one year since the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai appointed the Paramount ruler of Kurama Chiefdom, Mr. Yakubu Iliya Sauri, the Bugwam Kurmi the III who was recently handed the staff of office in Yarkasuwa, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna.
Climaxing the journey with a people-focused leadership of an ordained Priest of the Kurama Land, the Youth Leader of the Federated Akurmi nation, Mr. Peter Garba in a statement, saluted the king, the kingmakers, and all his cabinet members for paying a good price for the journey of 365 days.
Mr. Garba saluted the Chief of the Akurmi people, Mr. Yakubu for bringing another fresh idea into the traditional ruling council of the land.
Garba in the statement issued to our reporter, said that Sauri is another wisdom that came at the nick of time to liberate the entire Akurmi nation.
This giant stride according to him, is seen in his one year of selfless service to the entire kingdom.
He reiterated his appreciation to the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai for giving the Kurama people both a God and people-desired leader, who is always ready and willing to give his best for his people.
He assured that the youth of Kurama under his watch, will continue to support him in his policies and principles of peaceful co-existence among the many ethnic nationalities in Lere.
He vowed to lead the youth of Kurama for the return of peace in not only Lere Local Government Area, but the whole of Kaduna State.
He praised the government of Nasir el-Rufai for making sure that peace is returned to many communities of Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, Kaduna South that bandits and kidnappers have been terrorizing with their attacks.
While congratulating Mr. Sauri on his one-year enthronement as a king for bringing unity among the Kurama people, the youth leader prayed for more excellent wisdom, vigor and strength of mind, divine health and harmony, peace, and progress to permeate him and his kingdom from now till the end of time.
