Ondo NSCDC  nabs child traffickers, cultist

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ondo State Command, has nabbed some suspected women traffickers who specialized in importing teenagers to the state for commercial sex.
Adeyinka Ayinla, state commandant of the Corps, who disclosed this to Journalists at the command headquarters, also said eight Secondary School cultists and one rapist  who had been on the wanted list of the command were arrested.
Speaking, Ayinla who paraded the suspects in Akure, said that the different arrests were made possible due to intelligence.
Parading the suspects, the Commandant said two of the traffickers were arrested at a brothel in the state capital adding that those arrested rapist and cultists were apprehended at their various meeting points.
He disclosed that the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate authority while the cultists and the rapist would be taken to court for prosecution.
Ayinla stated that the two traffickers were in the business of bringing underage girls into the state for prostitution, under the pretext of engaging them in legitimate work.
“The two teenagers are 16 and 17 years old brought from Akwa Ibom State last week and were locked up in different rooms by these traffickers where they allowed various men, who might have paid the alleged criminals, to have the carnal knowledge with them,” he said.
The state NSCDC boss explained that the command also arrested three Secondary School girls and eight boys, all in their teens, who had been initiated by their ex-senior colleagues.
