Amidst mammoth crowd that greeted the official flag off of the campaign for Ondo State gubernatorial election at Ore in Odigbo LGA of the state, Bar. Jimoh Ibrahim in company of his Deputy was presented the Peoples Democratic Party’s flag.
The factional National Chairman of the PDP, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff who presented the flag, announced to the crowd that the only authentic gubernatorial candidate of the party in Ondo State is Bar. Jimoh Ibrahim while he encouraged all to vote for him enmass in the November 26 election.
He stressed that the action taken by this group of the PDP is to correct the anomalies and disobedience to the party’s constitution thereby rescuing the party from collapse and that what he has seen on ground has assured him that PDP will win in Ondo State.
While appreciating the entourage of the National chairman, Bar. Jimoh Ibrahim promised to correct all the wrongs of the previous administration in Ondo state.
In his words “I will pay all back log of salaries currently being owed by the state and restore light to those areas that have not been having life for so many years, within my first hundred days in office”.
He also promised to set up Infrastructural Development Commission and take people from poverty to prosperity, from hopelessness to hopefulness.
He stressed that Olokola will be highly developed and will be made to become the headquarters of the Board of Internal Revenue which would have been developed to a full fledge ministry during his tenure as Governor.
He vowed that ministry of special duties will be scrapped and replaced with the ministry of employment.
He further assured the people that he will represent them well and take away injustice from Ondo State politics.
The flag off was well attended by prominent politicians across the nation. Among them was Senator Kashamu Buruji, Prof. Wale Oladipo, PDP Chairmen of Ogun, Ekiti, Lagos. The Zonal Chairman of the Southwest was also there to grace the occasion.
