Seventy two hours after the joint Press Conferred by the three Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC), one of them, Dr. Olusegun Abraham has declared optimistic to fly the flag of the party for the November 26,2016 governorship election.
Addressing a Press Conference in Akure on Sunday, Dr. Abraham said among the three, Chief Oludsola Oke and Prof. Ajayi Borroffice he scored the highest votes in the September 3,2026 primary election.
According to him, Dr. Abraham is the landlord of the party in Ondo state and on no account ”will he vacate the house for a tenant”.
He how ever vowed to reclaim his mandate since his votes were not contested by any of the aspirants and more so, ‘the purported winner of the primary beat him with only 34 votes.
In view of the fact that over 300 names were injected into the delegates list on September 3, he therefore expressed optimistic that other aspirants would instruct their supporters to volts for him.
He based his point on the fact that they all agreed to fight for the victory of APC by November 26,2016 just to salvage the economy of the state from th ”miss rule of the present administration”.
Dr. Abarahamm therefore enjoined all party members and delegates to keep their fingers crossed and wait for the next line of action, assuring that which ever way the pendulum swings he will remain a boinafide member of APC.
While justifying his singular action to address a Press Conference, he said, he agreed with the submission of the other two aspirants’ during their Press Conference but would rather let the people of Ondo state know his position.
