Mr. Jones Ogunmusere, the Senior Special Adviser to the Government on Administration and Policy Planning in Ondo State has been appointed, Chairman Planning Committee the state Security Summit scheduled to hold on January 17, 2019.
Addressing a Press Conference in Akure, Ogunmusere said the state Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu (SAN), decided to organise the Summary following his concern over security challenges ravaging the state.
To sustain developmental responsibility of the state, the Government, he said has seeing the need to pro actively look at the future securities by creating a conducive environment for Investors and their Investments in the state.
In the words of Ogunmusere, ” the geographical location of Ondo state is such that people with criminal tendencies make inroad into the state from neighbouring States”.
“It is for this reasons therefore that Mr. Governor decided to constitute this Committee to package and organise the Security Summit that will take place on Thursday, 17th January, 2019”, he further said.
He gave the theme of the Summit which has eight other component sub themes as,” Improving Security Architecture in Ondo state for sustainable Peace and Development”.
Members of the Committee include SSA on Security Matter, Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General, Ministry of Justice, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services and representative of other Security Agencies in the state..
No fewer than 500 participants cutting across the entire strata of the society Ogunmusere disclosed had been invited to critically examine all security issues pertaining to the Summit.
