Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has obtained NAFDAC approval for the production of sachet pure water.
The Association has also honoured the Ondo state Commissioner for Natural Resources, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus and the state Director of Medical Services of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Mrs Faozat Aragbaye as Patron and Matron of the state chapter of the Association respectively.
The State Amirah of the Association, Alhaja Aminat Akinpelumi made this known at the inauguration ceremony for the new executive of the Akure North local government branch of the Association at Iju, Ita Ogolu at the weekend.
Alhaja Akinpelumi called on the need for government assistance saying that the organisation is established for the development of women and not for profit making nor for political reasons.
She said it is the umbrella body of all the Muslim women organisations as she re-emphasized the meaning of the association which she said stands as the umbrella body of all the women association but for the development of the women and Propagation of the Islamic activities.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Alhaji Sadiq Obanoyen who was represented by Engr. Oyedokun Daud, charged the Association to ensure better education of their children so that they could be respected and regarded in the society as well as for better appointment in their various field of endeavours.
Without knowledge, Obanoyen said , one cannot worship God because it is knowledge that gives the direction at an appropriate time so that one can live a peaceful and happy life.
In his reaction, the State Commissioner for Natural Resources, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus commended the Association for doing him the honour with the award.
Badmus described the Association as the best among others particularly by impacting positively on individuals and homes.
He charged them to continue to support government in prayers because there is blessings to pray for others so that God answers their individual prayers.
In her acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Akure North Branch Amirah of the Association, Alhaja Fatima Ibrahim felt honoured and promised to take the Association to a better level.
Ibrahim, who heads the newly inaugurated executive members, called on all the political leaders to support the Association and collaborate with it in its activities like Education, Community and Humanitarian Services, Health and a host of others.
A lecture on “Setting up an Ideal Islamic Home, problems, prospects and solutions” was delivered at the occasion by the Chief State Dawah Officer, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle.
