The hope of impeached Ondo Speaker Hon Jumoke Akindele regaining her sit suffered a major setback before Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure today as Justice A. Adegoroye adjourned the case till March 6 due to the inability of the Claimants to Serve the Defendants.

Charles Titiloye Esq Counsel to Clerk, the New Speaker of the House Assembly, Hon. Coker Malachi and other 12 lawmakers joined as Defendants in the suit told the Court that his Clients have not been served with Court processes and it will be in the interest of Justice to hear from them First.

Hon. Akindele’s Counsel Olumide Ogidan thereafter opted for out of Court settlement of the case they filed.

Titiloye while not opposing the move for out of Court settlement stressed that political issues are better resolved out of Court and crisis in ODHA will not benefit the good governance of the state.

The Court thereafter adjourn the case till 6th of March for report of out of Court settlement and that the Defendants be served by pasting the originating process on the notice board of ODHA.

The tenure of Gov. Mimiko will however ends as the New Governor is sworn in on 24th of February
