Bayo Akamo, Ibadan.

Former deputy governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore on has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to stop harassing him with alleged falsehood.

Senator Omisore who stated this in a press statement made available to journalists declared that contrary to the alleged claims by the EFCC that he collected money from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) for his 2014 governorship election, the election according to him was funded from his “resources and donations”.

He noted that it was unfortunate that EFCC is again alleging him of collecting N1.3billion from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

The PDP governorship candidate during the 2014 election stressed that there was never a time he collected any money from the office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) as been alleged by the EFCC.

“EFCC won’t stop at any height to blackmail opposition. My AIT programme has attracted another falsehood to harass me. Only yesterday (Wednesday) morning, I accused EFCC of dodging summons. I didn’t collect any money from ONSA. I’ve not had any dealings with the NSA,” he said.

Senator Omisore added, “last time, it was N700million, today N1.3billion. Nigerians should be expecting higher multipliers in future. No such money in my account”.

“Let EFCC bring all their findings to the court instead of media hype. They have become APC harassment agency. No wonder, UK DFID withdrew their assistance”.
