Omisore Hosts North America Based Ife Medical Practitioners

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Friday  urged Nigerians to at all times be ready to assist the needy.
Senator Omisore said this in Ile Ife while receiving a team of Medical practitioners of Ife extraction based in North America.
The former deputy governor and the  Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Osun State in the 2014 election emphasized that ‘health is wealth’.
“I’m impressed by what you are doing as you are giving back to the society in your own way as this will go a long way to assist our people who have health challenges but are not financially buoyant to treat their health. There is nothing that can be compared with sound health as when you are healthy; you are productive; but the moment one have health challenges , it becomes an issues.”he said.
According to Senator Omisore, to aspire for anything in life; you need perfect​ health.
While lauding the medical team also known as Ife Ooye Medical  for their effort at ensuring good health for their kinsmen, Senator  Omisore declared  that, “during his tenure as Chairman of Senate committee on Appropriations, he appropriated over N4 billion to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife to facilitate all the infrastructural development in phase four of the hospital​.
“I also made sure that the link road between the University and the teaching hospitals were completed​. I made it a point of duty that every first day of every year; I would always celebrate the new year with patients in the hospital and offset their bills because total health is very important,” he explained.
A member of the team, Dr. Olabisi Jagun  in his comment, stated that the medical team was happy to be in their home town to give back to their society, saying, “in our Medical Mission to Ife; over five thousand people have immensely benefited from free consultation; drugs and others related issues.”
Also, the facilitator of the team, Dr. Mide Lawson, while speaking said  “all of us have one or two things to do with Ife Some were born here, while others schooled in Ife. We now deemed it fit to come back home and give to the society.”
