The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji on Tuesday sacked  the Baale Oloode, in Oluyole Local Government of Oyo State from office
Also, Oba Adetunji is set to raise a committee to look into the crisis rocking the Ibadan Market Traders Association under the leadership of Chief Labake Lawal, the embattled Iyaloja of Ibadanland.
According to a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan by the Director, Media and Public Affairs to the Olubadan, Alhaji Adeola Oloko, the sacked Baale was replaced with Chief Odeyemi Dauda Olayiwola.
Though no reason was given for the sack of the Baale, it was learnt that his removal might not be unconnected with allegations of “high-handedness and rituals, culminating in endless litigations and security harassment.
Sources at the palace stressed that despite the Olubadan’s plea that the sacked Baale should go and reconcile with his community over the lingering crisis, the pleas allegedly failed to yield positive dividends.
On the Iyaloja issue, the Olubadan resolved into setting up a three or four man independent committee to look into
allegations raised against the Iyaloja by some market leaders
Oba Adetunji was said to have averred that thorough investigation into the matter would return peace to the market place and strengthen the unity and indivisibility of the traders who have been polarized.
The market women were asked to hand-over their petition and all relevant documents to the secretary to the Olubadan-in-Council.
