Ogun Security Outfit Apprehends 2 Over Alleged Vandalisation Of Gas Station

Two suspected vandals have reportedly been arrested in Ogun State over vandalisation of cables in a gas station.

Also, two operational motorbikes were recovered from the suspects.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspects are members of a 5- man gang that invaded a firm named Green Fuel Company, located in Onipanu area of Ado Odo in Ota Council Area of the state and vandalized cables and other items in the company. 

They were said to have been apprehended by security operatives attached to the Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps.

The State Commander of the Corps,  Dr Soji Ganzallo who made the disclosure in a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf,  said the incident occurred at about 11:00am on Saturday June 3, 2023.

It reads, ” The Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps also known as So-Safe Corps has apprehended two men for burgling a gas station in Ogun.

” It was said that at about 1100hrs on Saturday, 3rd. June, 2023, two of the 5 men who burgled Green Fuel Company, Estate, Onipanu in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area were apprehended while vandalizing cables and other items in the company. 

“:Ganzallo noted that two motorbikes used for the operation were captured. The motorbikes are marked TRE 461VL (Bajaj) and AAB-495VE (Honda)

” Ganzallo said that the suspects and the recovered exhibit have been transfered to the Nigeria Police, Onipanu Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution”.
