Ogun police parade five cultists, three suspected robbers

Ogun State Police Command has paraded five suspected cultists arrested in connection with the killing of rival cultists in Ogijo area of Ogun state which left four persons dead on Wednesday.
The arrested cultists, included a 37 years-old Oluwatosin Mosaku, Tunde Adeleye (25), Olajuwon Jose (21), Sunday Ajayi (27) and Sharafa Oladipo who were said to have carried out responsible a reprisal attack on suspected rival cult group who denied them the “fun” of celebrating the 7/7 Cult Carnival in Sagamu last July.
The suspects allegedly belong to the Aiye confraternity cult group, and were paraded by the command’s Acting Police Public Relations Officer (APPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi at the office of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) located at Magbon axis of Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.
Briefing journalists about their arrest, Oyeyemi explained that the suspects were arrested by the SARS officers at their hideout near Ogijo in Sagamu area on Wednesday after their Tuesday operation which left no fewer than four persons dead including a 16 years old boy hawking.
He stated also that investigations carried out on them have revealed that some of the suspects have criminal records with the police as one of them, Ajayi a.k.a had earlier snatched a rifle from a police officer three years ago.
Also paraded along with the cultists were three suspected armed robbers who specialised in snatching cars and tricycles.
The suspected car snatchers included a 38 years old Damilola Daramola, Tunji Makinde (38) and Jimoh Wasiu (37).
