NUPENG 3-Day Warning Strike Cripples Business Activities in Kaduna

Following the commencement of the three-day warning strike nationwide by the the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, most filling stations in Kaduna metropolis closed their filling stations to customers.

New Nigerian observed that there were long queues in most of the filling stations and black marketers have taken over the selling of fuel at exorbitant prices thereby resulting in increase of transport fares within Kaduna metropolis.

Most people complained of the attitude of Nigerians to capitalize on any slightest opportunity to exploit the common man to enrich themselves.

The situation if not checked according to some observers may lead to another sharp increase in the already high price of foodstuffs in the markets.

New Nigerian observed that many commuters were seen along the major streets in Kaduna metropolis waiting for commercial vehicles to move to their various destinations.
