The Staff Community Forum, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria, Kaduna State has expressed satisfaction with the step Governor Nasir el-Rufai took for the re-appointment of Dr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi as Rector of the instituition for the a second term.
President of the forum, Malam Muhammad Jibrin expressed this in a statement he issued on Saturday in Zaria.
Jibrin said the re-appointment has justified the commitment of el-Rufai-led administration to acknowledge and reward competency, hard work, and dedication to work in the public service of the state.
He said the forum hopes the council would continue to show this kind of spirit, sincerity of purpose, and undeterred commitment in all their future undertakings, to take the institution to a greater heights.
The forum, therefore, advised the Rector, Dr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi, not to rest on his oars in navigating the affairs of the institution to a new amiable pinnacle.
“The unprecedented achievements recorded in your first tenure in the areas of academics, infrastructure, the welfare of staff and students, despite the dwindling financial resources, should be sustained and consolidated during this renewed tenure.
“The forum is also drawing the attention of Governor Nasir el-Rufai and the general public to the nefarious activities of some unscrupulous, academic staff which constitutes serious havoc to teaching, learning, and allied activities in Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic,” the statement said.
The forum therefore, made a passionate appeal to Governor el-Rufai to investigate an alleged financial and academic fraud purportedly perpetrated by some staff of the institution to strengthen it.
