NSCDC Working Tirelessly To Ensure Adequate Security In Oyo State – Commandant

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), C.C. Michael Adaralewa on Thursday, said that the corps is working tirelessly in  ensuring adequate security for the people of the state.

Corps Commandant Adaralewa made this while receiving the State Director of the Department of State Security (DSS), Emmanuel Okoye during a courtesy visit to the Oyo State NSCDC State headquarters in Ibadan.

The Oyo State NSCDC Commandant emphasized that the corps has been ensuring this through intelligence information gathered.

According to Commandant  Adaralewa, information gathering remains a major tools in curbing crime and criminalities nationwide, adding, ” team work between the two agencies is a welcome development and it is a continuous process”

Speaking, the Oyo State Director of DSS,  Emmanuel Okoye tasked men of the NSCDC in Oyo state to continually partner with the DSS in maintaining law and order in the state.

Mr Okoye maintained that security agencies in the state should collaborate in tackling insecurity in the state ” as the security of lives and properties is a collective responsibility”.

He pointed out that  it is important to share security information among the security agencies so as to boost efforts in reducing crime and criminality to minimal. 

” There is an existing cordial relationship between the two agencies which needs to be improved as there is no room for inter-agency rivalry”, he said.

The two  Security Chief in the State later charged the people of Oyo State and all Stakeholders involved in the Security Architecture of the State, the Transport Unions who are more closer to the people, to always dim it fit in giving credible information gathered to nib crime in the bud.
