NSCDC To Ensure Hitch-free Easter Celebration In Oyo State – Commandant

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Michael Akintayo Adaralewa on Tuesday declared that the command is committed into ensuring hitch-free Easter celebration in and across the state.
The Commandant stated this in a statement issued on his behalf by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Oyindamola Okuneye  in Ibadan 
Commandant Adaralewa said towards this end, Oyo State NSCDC Command has deployed 2,000 personnel for this year’s Easter celebration.
According to him,  the deployment is to ensure a hitch-free celebration for Christian faithful and other residents of the state, assuring the people of Oyo State of the command’s readiness in collaboration with other sister agencies to guarantee the security and safety of lives and properties of the good people of the state, before, during, and after the Easter celebration.
While wishing the Christians Happy Easter celebration, Commandant Adaralewa warned criminal elements wishing to take advantage of the holiday season to perpetrate criminality to steer clear of the state 
He then urged Nigerians irrespective of their religion to be kaw abiding during the Easter period and beyond, and that Christian faithful should  reflect on the lesson of passion, suffering, forgiveness, and love to Christ during the lent and pray for the nation and success of the present government.
According to the statement, the components of the deployment includes,  tactical units like The Counter Terrorism Units, Female Special Squad, C.B.R.N.E Unit, Agro Rangers, Armed Squad, Intelligence Department and others within the corps.
