NSCDC Kaduna pledges water-tight security for on-going Kaduna Fair

The Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command in collaboration with other security agencies is to providing water-tight security for the on going 37th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
State Commandant of the Corps, Alhaji Modu Bunu who was represented by his Second-in-Command and Head of Administration, Deputy Commandant of Corps, Ilelaboye Waidi Oyejide, made this known at the Command’s headquarters when members of the Sub-Committee on security of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), organizers of the fair paid him courtesy call.
According to Bunu, NSCDC has concluded arrangements to ensure a hitch-free fair by massive deployment of personnel in and around the Trade Fair complex.
He said surveillance is being carried out at the complex and will continue till after the fair and thanked the committee for taking proactive measures.
Speaking earlier during the visit, Chairman of the Committee, Col. Dudu Usman (rtd), noted with satisfaction the services of the Corps towards previous editions and tasked the Command to consolidate on the good work done in the past.
The Chairman acknowledged the relative security atmosphere enjoyed in Kaduna State, urging all security agencies to re-double their efforts to maintain it.
Members of the Sub-Committee on security are drawn from the NSCDC, Police, Nigeria Customs Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Fire Service, the media and traditional institution from the host community to make success for the 37th edition of the fair slated to end on 6th March, 2016.
