Nomadic education commission hands over school to Toro council

The National Commission for Nomadic Education has officially handed over the Tsakani Magona Nomadic Primary School to Toro Local Government Council in Bauchi state.
Handing over a block of three classrooms, the Director Social Mobilization of the Commission, Alhaji Muhammad El–Nafaty said the primary school was established in order to complement government’s effort in providing qualitative education to Fulani nomads.
El–Nafaty stated that the school was also established to cater for the educational demand of the nomads and advised the communities of the area to reciprocate the gesture by enrolling their children in school.
Director El-Nafaty appealed to the people of the area to provide adequate security to the school so as to protect it from vandals.
Also speaking at the occasion, Executive Secretary of the State Nomadic Education Commission, Alhaji Musa Ardo, commended the National Commission for the gesture, stressing that it will assist the Fulani nomads to acquire knowledge.
Alhaji Musa Ardo disclosed that Bauchi have over 300 nomadic schools across the state, and pledged the state government’s commitment to support the schools so as to achieved the desire goals.
Receiving the primary school, the Education Secretary of Toro Local Government Council, Alhaji Jibrin Adamu Ningi expressed delight with the gesture and promised to support the school.
Ningi appealed to benefitting communities to send their children to school especially their female children.
