The immediate past Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammadu Jibrilla Umaru Bindow has congratulated the entire members of All Progressives Congress (APC) for conducting a free and fair party congress that saw the emergence of new Leaders for the state.
The former Senator who represented Adamawa Northern Zone said the exercise is an intra party affair that was done to further strengthen the party not to divide them, as such, he described the election to be “No victor no Vanquished”, it’s only a forward ever for the party.
Jibrilla called on all those who emerged winners to see the victory as a pillar of success to all party members including those that contested alongside with them.
“In intra party politics, it is always a no victor or vanquished affair because it’s a family way of getting things done right, the misunderstanding, the struggles, and the stiff competition are to bring joy to the family (party) at the end of day. This is what I saw during our party’s state congress that took place in Yola.
“With this, I’m calling on all those that happened to win and those that were not successful in the contest, including those that stepped down or withdrew from the race to see ourselves as one for the future fight of the party, poised to recollecting power from PDP.
“I congratulate all of you, I salute the tenacity of all party members who stood up for the hitch-free exercise and conducted themselves peacefully in the interest of the party.
”I’m glad to say that our congress is adjudged one of the best as there was no division, no record of parallel congress like in other places we read in the pages of newspapers.
“I wish us a glorious future,” Bindow said.
The former Governor however, said that the physical absence of some stakeholders is in the interest of unity of the party as their spirit and soul is with the whole process from beginning to the end.
