As the 2019 elections approaches most Nigerians are angry over the delay by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).believing it is aimed at depriving them of their rights to vote credible candidates at the polls.
Speaking with the New Nigerian Newspapers at the INEC office at Barnawa, Kaduna, Friday, Mrs. Glory Nwodo, said the workers don’t come to work until around 10am, when ordinarily, they should resume at 9am.
“I registered since June 2017 and this is 2019, I am yet to collect my Permanent Voters Card, (PVC), please, someone should explain what’s going on,” she queried.
In his own opinion, Mr. Niyi Adebayo, thinks its a ploy by INEC and the federal government to rig the elections even before the commencement.
“We have been tossed around since 2017, and the staff of this INEC office in Barnawa are very wicked, imagine keeping us in this biting cold and at 10am, their yet to resume, if this is not a ploy to rig and disenfranchise Nigerians, then something must be wrong.”
INEC as the elections approaches has promised to conduct free, fair and peaceful polls while most Nigerians are yet to get their PVCs.
