*says decision will develop talents from the grassroots

The League Management Company has been commended over its historic NPFL /La Liga U-15 football tournament which began in selected centres across the country.
Disclosing this with NNSports in his Lagos office, the National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, described the initiative by the LMC, as ground breaking.
According to the Edo born Chairman, it has been long they have been clamouring for clubs to have feeder teams to boost the production chain of talents in the country.
He further stressed that the country’s club sides have suffered from the dearth of quality talents in our local football. And that this new trend will no doubt see younger and fresher talented footballers coming to bear.
The seasoned administrator who was the former scribe of the NFSC, admonished all football stakeholders in the country to rally in support of the efforts of the Malam Shehu Dikko led LMC to ensure that Nigerian football return to its enviable pride of place in the football community.
He went on to disclosed that the supporters club have also mapped out plans to support and encourage the development of grassroots football in the country.
