NIgeria Pushing To Host Africa Junior Beach Volleyball Championship – Nimrod

NIgeria is making steady progress in its bid to host the Africa junior U-18 and U-19 Beach Volleyball Championship billed for this year.

President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation and Chairman,. Beach Volleyball Commission, Engineer Musa Nimrod disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen in Kaduna during the closing ceremony of the President Beach Volleyball Championship at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna last week.

“There is tendency NIgeria may be hosting Africa for junior U-18 and U-19 Beach Volleyball. Some of you here will participate,” he said.

According to him, the door is still open for all the players to fight for the NIgerian jersey at the championship.

” Camping will commence immediately. We will address players of senior team selected tonight,” he said.

Nimrod explained that every player that plays volleyball is under NVBF, hence, they are expected to honour national call to duty.

“If you are invited to camp, NVBF supercedes every club,” he said.

On the success of the third edition President Beach Volleyball Cup, he told the players to keep practicing to make impact in next year’s edition.

“Next year, the President Cup will still come. Go home and practice. God bless you all as you return back to destinations. I wish you safe journey,” he said.
