NHIS Urged To Embarked On In-House Training For Staff On Operational Guidelines

National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS Service Providers in the country have been charged to embark on an in-house training of Staff to educate and sensitize them on the operational guidelines of the Scheme to enable them improve in managing their Clients.
The Head of Health Maintenance Organization (HMCAN), northeast zone Pharmacist Khalid Kasimu made the call at a forum organized for NHIS Providers by the Association held in Yola, Adamawa State capital.
The forum with the Theme “Achieving Health Insurance Coverage in Nigeria- the Role of a sustainable bipartite Relationship between Health Maintenance Organization and Health Care Providers Association of Nigeria (HCPAN) was aimed at Collaborating with Providers and Enrollees in order to produce a communiqué for the improvement of the
scheme across the country.
Kasimu explained that,  the current recession the country is
experiencing has encouraged a lot of people to enroll in the Scheme and called on all Providers as Custodians of Client’s Money to improve in the way they manage them and always provide quality services.
Speaking to newsmen, Adamawa State NHIS Coordinator Mr. Ahmed Dalasin advised Providers to always make an enquiry of information that will assist them in providing quality services to their Clients as well as enlightening the public on the implementation of the Scheme.
He however, called on the Adamawa State Government to enroll its Civil Servants on the Scheme as it would help them to have access to quality Health Care Services for their families.
