NGSG to employ youth in agric industries

Not less than hundred thousand of youths from all the local government areas in Niger State are to be trained and absorbed into both agricultural and entrepreneur business in the first quarter of next year.
For those who want to be self employed, the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) has worked out arrangement for them to access funds for the youth from both State and Federal Government for the success of the scheme.
The Director General of the SDGs, Alhaji Adamu Ubale Ayawa said in Minna that the SDGs would also provide cash transfer for the trained youth to enable them start an independent life of their own.
For the youth to enjoy this opportunity, the Director General explained that the youth must be trained in various skills acquisition with the SDGs providing solid support for the entrepreneurial scheme.
He explained that the Desk Officers of the SDGs in the various local government areas in Niger State, would move to the area where projects would be sited based on the peculiarities of sure areas.
Alhaji Ayawa also said that the SDGs would bring reduce poverty and hunger in the state and combat climate change and other natural challenges.
Rural dwellers, the Director General further explained are to derive the impact on the SDGs as the rural people would equally be assisted to access funds in various banks.
