NGSG signs MoU with Korea on health

Niger State Government has signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on health care delivery services and reiterated its determination and commitment towards providing qualitative, affordable and accessible healthcare delivery services to the people of the State.
Speaking after the signing of the MoU, the state governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, appealed to the Korean Government to assist the State in the area of health care capacity building which plays a very prominent role in attaining vision 3:2020 of the present administration.
The governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Daniel Clifford Shashere stated that the essence of the collaboration is to add value to the effort of state government in ensuring a healthy state.
Sheshere then expressed optimism that the partnership between the two sides would advance the cause for humanity stressing that the health sector is another area where experts from Korea will assist the state.
Speaking earlier, the Counselor at the Embassy of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Abuja, Mr. Ri Il Sop disclosed that the bilateral cooperation between the Korea Republic and Niger State would help in actualizing the state’s vision pointing out that the partnership would be extended to other sectors.
The Counselor assured the state government that the country will work in improving the health care delivery services to the populace.
He commended the harmonious relationship that is existing between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Nigeria in which the two sides has also stand to benefit.
