A Non Governmental Organization “Gaskiya Dokin Karfe” has called on media organizations to always abide by the ethics of the profession through balancing their stories before publication.
The Kaduna State Chairman of the organization Alhaji Ali Go Slow made the call in Zaria while reacting to the media reports on Ahmadu Bello University Zaria tittled “How Famous Nigerian University Encourages Child Labour” published on Sunday.
Ali Go Slow said the University has never engaged the services of any minor or under age as members of staff.
According to him, such report is an attempt to jeopardize the success recorded by the University particularly at this period of Professor Ibrahim Garba as the Vice Chancellor.
He said the “Yaro Boys” in question formed their union and seek for approval to operate inside the university by carrying students’ luggages from main road to their various residents and get them pay.
The state chairman further advised Journalists to be factual on all their reporting as ethical required.
