A Daura based Non Governmental Organization, Daura Multi purpose Women Livestock Farmers Association has donated Items worth thousands of Naira to Daura Correctional centre and Reformatory centre. The donated items include assorted drugs, cartons of soap and detergent, mats, kettles, shoes and face marks among others. Presenting the Items at the two centres, the chairperson of the association, Hajiya Sa’a Mamman Nakoti said they were at the centres to assist the Inmates. Hajiya Sa’a Mamman Nakoti who led other members of the association said they donated the Items to compliment the effort of Government. Hajiya Sa’a Nakoti explained that, although the donation was the first of its kind, but it would assist the Inmates. She advised them to consider their stay in the centre as an “Act of Almighty Allah.” Secretary of the association, Hajiya Habiba Adamu Sarkin Doka spoke on the types of drugs donated to the Correctional centre. Hajiya Habiba Adamu said the drugs would no doubt assist the Inmates. Also speaking, the Public relation Officer of the association, Hajiya Nana Mamman Sandamu said they bought the Items with their monthly contribution. Hajiya Sandamu said the association was established for the past twenty years. In their separate speeches, the representative of the Officer in charge of Daura Old correctional centre, Supritendant Nura Ahmed and Principal of Daura reformatory centre, Alhaji Isyaku Mani Dandagoro thanked the association members for the donation. They assured the Judicious use of the donated Items.
