NGO Boosts NDLEA Operations With Donation Of Vehicle, Motorbike In Lagos

A non-governmental organization under the aegis of Peace and Initiative, Ikorodu Division has donated a Toyota Tacoma double cabin pick up vehicle and a motorcycle to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ikorodu area to boost its operations.
In a brief remark at the donation ceremony, chairman of the group,

Chief Odofin Adewunmi Ogunsanya said the donation was as a result of the activities of the Ikorodu Area Command in terms of arrests, seizures and prosecution of illicit drug offenders in the area. 
He emphasised that series of campaigns, sensitisation, seminars and workshops were equally carried out in the area on the dangers of drug abuse and misuse to the people by the agency.
Ogunsanya enjoined the NDLEA  Ikorodu area to make the very good use of the vehicle and the motorcycle in executing its mandate to minimise trafficking and abuse of illicit drug in the area for Ikorodu to be a crime free society.

The Area Commander, Mr Isiaka Lawal O (ACN) in his response while taking over the vehicle stated that he was caught unaware with the gesture.
According to a release by the media officer Lagos Command Mallum Musa,made available to journalists,  the Area Commander said the items would have been received by the State Commander in behaif of the Agency.

Lawal said he was short of words to express his appreciation to the organisation for finding NDLEA Ikorodu worthy to be beneficiary of the wonderful donation.
He assured that the vehicle and the motorcycle will be judiciously utilised for the good people of Ikorodu.
