NFSC, Election, Ikpea, Adeniyi, Others Emerge As Leaders

It seems a new dawn into the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, NFSC, as about 250 registered/authentic members of the club across the 19 state chapters of the country last Saturday converged at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos to elect their choice of leaders into various offices of the club.
 
The election which saw who is who in the industry of sports during the most adjoined credible, fair and clean election by all the stakeholders present has produced a new National Chairman in person of former Secretary Genaral, Rev. Samuel Ikpea who emerged as the newest Chairman of the club after defeating his opponent’s Mr. Aromire Muritala by 168 to 7 vote to become the club chairman.
 
Also keenly contested for are the offices of the 1st & 2nd vice chairman were Dr.Utoh Donaltus won former 2nd Vice Chairman, Engr. Siawe Ebi Isaac by 87- 84 vote cast.
For the Secretary Genaral position, Barr. Kunle Adeniyi had earlier defeated his opponent with a total vote cast of 121 to 43 against Prince Olowu Victor vote. While about 11 offices such as the 3rd vice Chairman, Treasurer, PRO, welfare and amongst others were returned unopposed. After which an oath of office taking by all the elected officers was immediately directed by Barr. AKINDELE AKINWUMI who also doubles as a member of the club.
 
While return of certificate was immediately issued to all elected officers by the Chairman Electoral committee, Elder Ademola Bankole. The election was attended by ,former,Director Genaral,Amos Adamu, Immediate past NFF president, Alhaji Aminu Maigari,Taiwo OgunJobi (former NFF SG now Osun FAChairman),Dr.Bolaji Ojo-Oba, Former NSC Director, S.A on sports to the Governor of Lagos State, National SWAN president representative, Sports Editors to mention but a few. In their collective reactions they have all commended the election committee headed by Elder Adeemola Bankole for organizing a free and fair election that allows for a keen and keenly contested election. After which the doggedness/focus by the president Genaral of the club, Dr Rafiu Oladipo was also appreciated for keeping the club intact before and while the election lasted.
