*Oyo Govt Holds 40-day Funeral Reception For Late  Oba Saliu Adetunji

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Saturday hinted that a new Olubadan of Ibadanland will finally be named on Monday 
Governor Makinde dropped this hint at the 40-day funeral reception for the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado area of Ibadan

The governor disclosed that come Monday February, 14 he will officially announce the name of  the new Olubadan of Ibadan land after considering a letter he received from the Olubadan-in-Council.
“I have received a letter from the Olubadan-in-Council.By the grace of God, I will announce the new Olubadan of Ibadan land on Monday”, he said.
Engineer Makinde added, ” today that we are organizing the 40-day remembrance of the immediate past Olubadan, we have already known the next king”.
“Ibadan is not like other towns that will take them more than seven years before they can have a king after the demise of one”, .
Speaking further, the governor, stressed that ” Ibadan traditional system is a reference for other towns, villages and cities in the country to emulate due to its democratic nature”.

Present at the  40 day funeral reception included the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanvland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, Oyo state deputy governor, Engineer  Rauf Olaniyan, the Senator representing Oyo South, Dr. Kola Balogun among other prominent Ibadan Sons and Daughters.
