New IMCCN Fellows Urged To Be Good Ambassadors Of Institute

The newly inducted fellows of the Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria (IMCCN) have been urged to be good ambassadors of the institute.

Speaking on behalf of the President of the Institute at the institute’s annual national mentoring and coaching conference held in Abuja recently, Dr Dauda Ageni also called on those that are interested in the professional membership of the institute to apply via approved online and onsite platforms.

He said, “we thank the new inductees and all participants. We want to encourage you to be good ambassadors of the institute.

“Those interested in the professional membership of the institute to apply on institute available online and onsite platforms, knowing full that mentoring is the way to go and a key factor to our national development”, he said.

Meanwhile the annual conference coincidentally marked the 10th year anniversary of the institute with award and recognition worthy individuals and organisations.

Among the new inductees as Fellows of the institute were Senior Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina, Brigadier General Francis Etim, Barr. Wilson Esangbedo, Alh Haruna Salisu and Mrs Ronke Enitan Balogun.

Some outstanding individuals and organizations were also awarded icon of mentorship and icon of leadership excellence respectively.

”I have been Fellow Nigeria Guild of Editors, FNGE, for some years. That means if you address me, and you refuse to put FNGE, FPMC, I may choose not to answer, with my shoulders raised up, huffing and puffing. Lol.

Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria Chartered-ship Bill has successfully scaled through second reading.

By the time the bill is signed into law, the institute will be responsible for registration, the discipline of its members to regulate and control the practice of mentoring and coaching and related matters in Nigeria.

Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria formerly the Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria (IMCCN) Limited by Guarantee bill was presented for second reading on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the green chamber of the National Assembly as Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria.
