NEPC advises entrepreneurs to adopt zero oil businesses

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council has advised business
stakeholders in Adamawa to adopt the Zero oil plan for increment of revenue generation.
Mr.  Ambikpute Andy, the regional coordinator of the council gave the advice during a one day stakeholders’ forum on zero oil plan held in Yola on Thursday.
According to him, the era of depending on oil money was over, and therefore tasked the participant to diversify  their economy driving sectors to none oil revenue generation.
“I called on the business people of Adamawa to adopt the zero oil plan with the aim of diversifying the economy. Of the state for increased revenue generation, Job creation, poverty reduction, and increased revenue profile for the state.” Andy stated.
He said that among the reason for organizing the forum was for the state to effectively develop its non oil secto.
He prayed that the forum would create great opportunity to share
experiences and perspective from different critical sectors.
In his remark, Mr. Geoffrey Garba, Permanent Secretary, state Ministry of Commerce and Industries, said that the forum come at a right time when government are making efforts to diversify its source  of revenue generation.
Garba said that presently, the state government is making arrangement with some local and foreign firms to explore the huge deposited solid minerals resources across the state.
