NEMA donates food items to IDPs in Adamawa

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented food items worth millions of Naira to Internally Displaced Persons settlement camps in Adamawa State.
The Agency Coordinator in the state, Sa’ad Bello presented the materials to Daware, Malkohi settlement camps and Yolde Pate host community in Girei and Yola South Local Government Areas respectively.
Bello said that the food presentation was part of the routine donation meant to assist the IDPs families living in the settlement camps across the state.
He urged the IDPs not to sell the commodity as Federal government was making all it can to supply more relief materials to them.
Responding on behalf of the IDPs, Malam Idrisa Lawan, the Head of Daware settlement camp, thanked the agency for the support.
Lawan, gave the assurance that the food items would be shared judiciously.
Among the food items distributed include bags of rice, maize, cooking oil.
